GMF Glasgow reach out to other cities

The Glasgow branch of the Ghanaian Methodist Fellowship-UK Chaplaincy has begun church-to-church campaign to explain to the many Ghanaian Methodists in Scotland the objectives of the GMF-UK Chaplaincy.

Their first visit this year was on Sunday 12 April which took them to the only Methodist Church in Aberdeen- Crown Terrace Methodist Church in Aberdeen. The Crown Terrace Methodist Church is twinned with St Peter Methodist Church, New Achimota Circuit, Accra Ghana, and have helped financed many projects in Ghana. The church have a Bible studies on Thursday which uses the Ghana Methodist Bible Class books.

The Glaswegians joined their Aberdeen brothers and sisters in worship from the beginning to the end. The Terrace members applauded and cheered when a traditional Ghanaian song(Abibindwom) was sung during the sermon.

The host enjoyed the visit and asked that the visit be made an annual event. The fellowship donated some pieces of the fellowship cloth to the church.

The Glasgow fellowship meet first Sunday of each month at 1.30pm at Woodlands Methodist Church, 229 Woodland Road, G3 SLW.
