The Ghanaian Methodist Fellowship-UK Chaplaincy has inducted new executives into office. Members of the Chaplaincy Management Committee (CMC), which is the highest decision making body of the fellowship are drawn from the internal organisations of the fellowship, as well as representatives from some local GMF and selected standing committees.
The 17 member committee were inducted into office in a service held on 12th January 2014 at Methodist Central Hall, Westminster. The induction service was administered by the fellowship chaplain Rev William Davis, assisted by Rev Kobina Obuo-Dadzie and Rev Dr Ebenezer Henry Brew-Riverson, a retired minister of Methodist Church Ghana.
Also inducted were the officers of the internal organisations such as Susanna Wesley Mission Auxiliary, Choir, Women’s Fellowship, and Christ Little Band.
In his sermon, Rev Davis urged the members to eschew bitterness and live in harmony with one another.
The new officers will serve a term of two years. When they finish their first term, their respective organisations could decide to appoint new representatives or let the current ones continue another term. No member is allowed to serve for more than three terms.
